This land is owned by Middlesbrough Council and the provision of a major new access road to the whole of north Middlesbrough by the creation of a direct linkage from the A66 Newport Roundabout is now nearing completion
This will open up the site for commercial development and the rest will be retained as an important green space along the river corridor.
