NEW ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE
Opening up the river corridor and potential major residential development on the Tees Yard site will put pressure on the primary roads which serve the area.
Discussions with the Highways Agency have agreed the need for some additional secondary roads to the north of the river but linked to the A66 via the Barrage Bridge.
A preliminary scheme is under design for discussions with all the landowners involved. Provisional funding bids have also been included in the transport programme for the region.
